Dear Mr. __________,

We really appriciate a lot, your genuine concern and sympathy towards an ailing, beggar child to whom you encountered during your official visit to India. Indeed, it must have been very trouble-some, challenging task for you to search out address of our organization working at Agra. All these pains that you have taken speak volumes of your generosity kind heartedness and above all humanitarianism.

As regard that particular child, because of our several pre occupation and engagement in last month, it has not been possible for us to locate that particular child. However now we activate our volunteers to make a search for this unlucky boy and we are quite hopeful to trace out him in near future. And accordingly I shall be informing to you in due course of time.

As far as disease of this child is concerned your surgeon's tentative diagnosis of protein energy malnutrition seems to be correct. Although other diseases like filasiasis - ­are also rampout in our tropical areas, producing similar symptomatology. In our health camps, doctors usually diagnose these disorders.

At this point we candidly admit that even when world is planning to plunge in 21 century with all scientific development and materialistic progress, even today that curse on humanity (disease & Poverty) is prevailing in India in significant proportions.

This is not just a story of poor children in our country. No doubt, there is growing political commitment on behalf of government.

However purpose is being defected by poverty and population explosion. Meaning thereby problem is multifaceted having social educational, economic.

Now as regards our organization, let me briefly outline its activities to you. Veena Vadini Children & Women Educational, Welfare and Development society is a non-governmental, Volantary organization that came in existance only 5 years ago with the sole aim to work for the betterment and welfare of poor children and women of the city in particular those living in slum areas, to provide them education in terms of health and hygenic as well as to provide them health services through regular visit and camps etc.

In this endeavour we are getting limited funds from Govt. as well as non-governmental agencies and charity institution which are inadequate to deal with the problem.

If you wish to work with our organization it would be a great inspiration to us.

Once again thanking you for your contribution and desire. I once again assure you that by our best to trace out this particular child with features as described by you in your letter.

I shall be sending a photograph of the same for the confirmation on your behalf and only then all necessary arrangements will be made to provide him your help.
